In Viva Engage, Leaders are users who have been designated by admins. These are typically organisation executives, senior management or department heads who communicate with wider audiences. To be set as a Leader, a user must have access to Viva Engage Premium. Which requires them to be licensed with either the Viva Suite or Viva Communications and Communities Microsoft 365 licenses.
Leaders have access to exclusive posting features, such as sending announcements to their entire audience by posting to their storyline or hosting Ask Me Anything events which can be scheduled to allow their audience to connect with the leader and ask them questions.
Leaders also have access to analytics to measure their audiences engagement with their posts. As a Leader, this can be found within the Analytics tab in the Viva Engage navigation. This page will provide a breakdown of the overall sentiment that the audience has to the Leaders posts based on reactions and comments. There is also metrics for the audiences morale based on their own posts and interactions. Metrics are measured across all of a leaders audiences.
Users can be set as either an organisation-wide leader or as a leader for specific groups of employees, such as a department or team. Leaders posts will appear within their audience's Leadership Corner feed. Which is a specific feed that users can browse that will show them all posts by their defined leaders.
Leadership Corner
The Leadership Corner allows users to view posts created by leaders. This feed includes both leaders storyline posts and posts sent to communities that the user is a part of. From this page, users can also see a list of campaigns that have been marked official by Leaders.
Users can also access a list of all featured communities, the leader directory and a list of posts that have been featured by leaders from within the Leadership Corner.
