Assigning a license to a user
After purchasing a license, it will need to be assigned to the target user. This can be done from the Microsoft admin centre. From the navigation at the left hand side of the page, select the Billing category and go to the Licenses page. This will open a page that will list all of the licenses purchased for your Microsoft tenant.
Select the license on the list you would like to assign to a user. If there are any available unassigned licenses the Assign a license button will be clickable. Once the assignment menu has opened, simply enter the target users email and select the result. You must then click the assign button at the bottom of the menu. After this, the user will have access to services associated with the license.
Revoking a license from a user
To revoke a license from a user, open the license page and select which license you want to remove from a user. Then find the target user by scrolling down the list of users or via the search bar on the right hand side. Once you have found the user click the 3 dots to the right of their name, and select Unassign license.
