Does the group type influence post visibility on the activity feed?
How content is displayed on the activity feed is driven by the Smart Feed, which personalises what each user sees. One aspect is Connected Profiles: content is promoted based on your connections — who your manager is, all the connected people from there, all the way up to the CEO. If you are a manager, for example, you would see posts from your direct reports, or posts they are tagged in.
Content deemed “important” appears at the top of the feed. Once a user has consumed this Smart Feed content, their activity feed returns to chronological order. This ensures users see more relevant content and don’t miss key updates. In practice, if a connected profile posted in a Corporate Space, that post would be promoted at the top of the feed ahead of, say, a Community Space post.
